I decided since I didn't have any green jellies, that I'd mix my own. So for this, I used half a bottle of clear with a bit of Essie Incognito and a bit less of China Glaze Def Defying. It ended up reminding me of snot, so I had to do a drippy mani with it, and name it appropriately! ^.^

Random Oldies
I have a bunch of random old manis to share with you today that I never got around to posting. These are manis that I was just playing around with but never had a lot to say about. These are mostly phone pictures, nothing super fancy. I just figured I'd post them before deleting them. No real reason.
The first picture is of two ruffians. I'd gotten into my box of frankens and just wanted to see what some of them would look like together. All four colors are nameless frankens, the left mani with some China Glaze Matte Magic.

Lacquers Like Lace - Hail the Pumpkin King
I love frankening, but I haven't been able to for quite a while. I actually created this one a few years back, with the intentions of wearing it on Halloween, but never got to, and I don't want to wait 7 more months!
I've also given my frankens an official brand to fit in with the pen name Scars Like Lace and my blog Nails Like Lace. I settled on Lacquers Like Lace! I love it! ^.^
Anyway... The polish. I call this one Hail the Pumpkin King, inspired by the Tim Burton movie The Nightmare Before Christmas.

March Favorites
Happy Easter! Here are my favorites manis that I have done this month:
3. Lacquers Like Lace - Golly Grape Gelly
One of my favorite frankens! I especially absolutely love it matted!
2. Spring Kickoff Dotticure
This one was so bright and fun, and I just love these four colors together!

Lacquers Like Lace - Golly Grape Gelly
I love frankening, but I suck at recording recipes! So, from a mix of rainbow glitters and some pinks and purples that I don't remember, comes this beauty!
It has a squishy, jelly finish, with lots of depth!
I matted the two middle fingers and left my pinkie and index finger shiny. I actually love how this looks matted! This is two coats.

Green and Gold Clouds
I haven't done a cloud mani in a while, so I grabbed Golden Confetti by Jessica and added it to my franken from yesterday.

Glitterbomb Franken
I mixed this polish so long ago that I can't even begin to remember what all is in it. I think it was basically just a bunch of leftovers from minis that were almost empty and ended up not being too shabby. ^.^

A NailsLikeLace Franken - Rainbow Glitter in a White Jelly Base
I always love the white base and rainbow glitter frankens I see, so I had to try one out for myself!
I don't have a suspension base, so it could be a pain to work with at times, but I actually like how it turned out, for the most part! It ended up with a slight jelly consistency, which I am okay with, as that adds depth, but I think I need to go a little heavier on the glitters in it!

NailsIT - PB&J Sandwich
I have another beautiful indie polish to share with you today that I got from NailsIT! This is PB&J Sandwich.
I really love all the peanut butter and jelly sandwich-inspired polishes out there! The idea and concept behind them, the look with the tan-colored glitters and jelly finish, I just love everything about them! And this one is no exception.
Of course, being a purple, it was a pain to photograph and I ended up only getting one good shot of it, but I loved wearing it nonetheless!

Nostalgic Nail Lacquer - Jordana
It is no secret that blue polish and I have a love/love relationship. Especially colors kin to this one! My thanks to the wonderful young lady ;) that runs Lacquer Me Silly for parting with this one! It is officially my first purchase of an indie polish, and I am pretty pleased with it (I do have two others, one I was gifted, and the other I won in a giveaway, but they are still waiting for their model shots to be cropped and watermarked)!
To kick off September, though, I have a really great blue to share with you! Jordan from Nostalgic Nail Lacquer:

Sounds Like a 1970s Dream
Remember when I showed you my franken, Dragon Puffs, layered over Zoya Savita, at the beginning of the month, and it was a complete disaster?
Well, I found two polishes that I love as underwear for it! I actually couldn't decide which I liked more, so I figured I'd showcase them both at once in the form of a ruffian.
I know, I know... Ruffians are supposed to have a metallic at the cuticle. Yet again, another distinction that I don't really care about. In fact, I looked. I found no official "rules" stating a ruffian manicure must use a metallic polish. So I'm not that worried about it.
Anyway, I used China Glaze Wicked Style (pink) and Gothic Lolita (purple). I love Dragon Puffs over Gothic Lolita because it is a very close match to the base color of the franken. I like it over Wicked Style for reasons unknown. Even though it takes away from the purple of the franken, I just plain like it, and that's all the reason I need! ^.^
So I started out with the ruffian, switching the colors as an accent:

Rainbow, Holo, and Stars... Oh my!
What seems like a century ago, I asked for name suggestions on some of my frankens, and this one was included. I loved the name that Nail Reflections came up with best! So... today, I have for you (over a base of Zoya Savita) Dragon Puffs!
This is a squishy mix of a few different rainbow glitters, the Claire's holographic top coat (though it's hard to see, and gives no holo effect), some star glitters from Kleancolor, and I have no idea what other polishes because I am terrible and writing down my recipes!

Layering Lizards
I had the desire to do some more layering, so I started this one out with a green franken polish:
Then I added 1 coat of Pure Ice Oh Baby! And two coats of Finger Paints Twisted:

Las estrellas y la luna; ellas me dicen dónde voy
Desperado was on t.v. a couple of weeks ago. Is it sad not that my first thought was "ooohhh I love that movie, I am going to watch it (twice in a row)!", but that my second thought was "O.O I wanna do Desperado nails!!"? =P

Great! Now I'm on an Animal Print Binge!
I used the L.A. Colors loose eye shadow pigment in Sunshine to create a franken. This is one coat vs. three coats over Sally Hansen Black Heart.

Treasure Island Franken
I picked up an L.A. Colors loose eye shadow called Treasure Island, and thought it would make a great nail polish color. So I put it in a bottle of top coat, and it didn't turn out too bad! =D
