Glitter Placement Tessellation

My idea for this mani came from Polish All the Nails and Jaunty Juli (I recreated her hand-painted version here) who I both saw tessellation manis from that I loved!

So for my glitter placement tessellation, I used Finger Paints Louvre This Pink as my base, and NOPI Be Awesome for the glitters.

Twinsie Tuesday - Inspired by Your Hometown

I am 1,000% not at all thrilled with how today's mani turned out. I was going for a "field of wildflowers" look to represent my hometown, but dried flowers just plain suck! -.- This is almost too embarrassing to even post....

Zoya - Cosmo

Of Zoya's Magical Pixie Dusts, I think Cosmo has to be my favorite!

These aren't brand new polishes from Zoya, but they still are on the newer side.

Complementary Sunshine Skittles: Untriedicure #9

I wanted to use purple and yellow together in a mani, because I love complementary color combos.

So I pulled out some untrieds from Heather: butter LONDON Bramble (purple), Rimmel London Sunny Days (yellow), and W'n'W Quartz of Course (purple glitter), and used them, along with OPI When Monkeys Fly, and chevon Nail Vinyls, to create a sparkly sunshine design... Thing.

Fuzzy Bunny Nails

If you missed my review yesterday of Nutra Nail Raspberry gel polish, that is my base for today's Easter mani! I ended up having only four nails that held up and looked good by the end of Day 2 of wearing Raspberry, so I wanted to add some art on top.

I got some white flocking powder (currently $2.59 at Born Pretty Store where I bought mine) because I thought it would make the cutest little furry bunnies! ^.^

Nutra Nail - Raspberry

I found some Nutra Nail gel polishes on clearance for $2, so I figured I would give one a shot. The color I picked up is Raspberry.

Since I don't have much time to do my nails while I am working during the week, I wanted something I could put on at the beginning of the week, that would last three or four days and endure all the stress my job puts my hands and nails through, until I had time to change my manicure. So what better than a gel polish.... right?

This is one of the gels that doesn't require a light. It comes with brush-on activator instead.

I had a lot of likes and dislikes with this polish. It did only need three coats for full coverage, and looked gorgeous and shiny, with a super solid finish.... at first!

Twinsie Tuesday - Gifted Polish

For this week's theme, my gifted polish is a lemming I've been dying for forever, Maybelline Blue Marks the Spot from Heather, which inspired me to try out a treasure map mani.

Born Pretty Store Review - Folding File

I received a set of folding files from Born Pretty Store to review. These are four-sided, like many files, with the roughest grit (black) for taking down length, the next down (blue) for shaping, the second highest (pink) is for buffing, and the most gentle (blue) shines.

I'm not sure what the actual grits are on these, as they are not listed on the website, but they were neither too harsh or weak for my nails, and left a nice, smooth finish.

Rainbow Watercolor Water Marble

I was just playing around with a bunch of neon acrylic paints, watering them down for a watercolor look, then topped it with a floral water marble.

Textured Geometric Mani

In February, I created this textured rays mani (if you missed it, sneak peek on my thumb!) and absolutely loved it. At the time, I had been playing with some of the same polishes, and doing other striping. This is another I'd come up with, but never got around to posting.

Twinsie Tuesday - Favorite Glitter Topper

In today's TT post, we are all sharing our favorite glitter topper polish.

My mani for this theme is a jelly sandwich using Zoya Kate and China Glaze Fairy Dust.

Jelly Bean Nails

Remember THIS massive post I did Friday? Well, I loved the Jelly Bean nails I wore in it (that were inspired by Peace, Love & Polish) so much, that I actually wore them for a few days; not only matted, but first with a shiny topcoat, and then with some China Glaze Fairy Dust on top. So I figured I'd share those two versions of the mani as well.

Happy Birthday Heather - An Epic Tribute to an Epic Friend

I have to say a huge HAPPY BIRTHDAY to one of the best ladies I've met in the nail community, Heather of Peace Love and Polish!! I have a enormous post today to honor her!

I've admired Heather's blog and nail art skills for years. It wasn't until recently (maybe about a year) that we really started talking outside of social media. This chick has quickly become my best nail friend though, and I knew I had to do something extreme and extra special for her big day! What better way than through nail art?!

I have redone 43 of my favorite manicures from Heather to say "Happy Birthday" in a way only a fellow polish addict can! I've listed them below, with each "mani" being a clickable link to her original version. I redid Heather's:

Twinsie Tuesday - Nails Inspired by Your Bag

Today's TT  theme was to create nails inspired by your bag. I have actually been wanting to do a mani based on the backpack I carried all through college, so I figured this was the perfect opportunity!
