Remember THIS massive post I did Friday? Well, I loved the Jelly Bean nails I wore in it (that were inspired by Peace, Love & Polish) so much, that I actually wore them for a few days; not only matted, but first with a shiny topcoat, and then with some China Glaze Fairy Dust on top. So I figured I'd share those two versions of the mani as well.

Happy Birthday Heather - An Epic Tribute to an Epic Friend

I have to say a huge HAPPY BIRTHDAY to one of the best ladies I've met in the nail community, Heather of Peace Love and Polish!! I have a enormous post today to honor her!

I've admired Heather's blog and nail art skills for years. It wasn't until recently (maybe about a year) that we really started talking outside of social media. This chick has quickly become my best nail friend though, and I knew I had to do something extreme and extra special for her big day! What better way than through nail art?!

I can't believe it, I am married to an old man! My hubby turns 30 this month so I painted special birthday nails for him! I knew I wanted to do camo (he's of the redneck gene, so I had to somehow incorporate camo), but I wanted to do something birthday-ish too. So I decided on camo cupcakes!

For today's theme, we had to create manis based on our astrological signs. I am an October baby, so I started by attempting an opalesque (my birthstone) background. I sponged Essie Lapis of Luxury, Julep Nikki, Zoya Elodie, and China Glaze Dance Baby on my nails, then added a coat of Julep Melissa and Finger Paints Twisted.

Since today is the anniversary of The King of Rock 'n' Roll, Elvis Presley's birthday, I did a mani in his honor. =)
