L.A. Colors - Lost Soul, Scream, & Flicker

Today I have a fun little swatchfest for you of some L.A. Colors polishes!

First up is Lost Soul. This is a really pretty light grey with a very subtle shimmer. It is easy to apply, and only requires two-three coats depending on how thick you apply it.

Stamping Decal Peace Signs

I wasn't a fan of how these turned out. So I just went outside at 9 at night when I got them done to get pictures with what light there was left because I just wanted to take them off and wasn't too worried about.

So my pictures are crap. Sorry. They aren't completely in focus and the glare off my nails is all awkward. It's just a hot mess. But it was just a test mani, so it's alright.

They looked a lot better in my head when I imagined them! The image was too big and the "decals" too thick and uneven. I think part of the problem is that I was impatient in making these decals. I used Seche Vite because I didn't want to have to wait too long on them to dry. But Seche dries really hard and they weren't as pliable as I needed them to be due to that.

Twinsie Tuesday - Slayed the Lemming

I had a family emergency this weekend, so I was unable to participate in Twinsie Tuesday this week, but check out the other Twinsies to see what lemmings they've slayed!

IG Rainbow Collabs [Part 4/4]

Today we are throwing my little girl's first birthday party (I can't believe it has been a year! Time really does fly so fast!), so I just have a quick post: One more (and final, for now) round of Instagram collab updates today!

I've hosted two rainbow themed collaborations on Instagram lately. The first had 111 participants and the second had 200! Here are the collaged pictures and solo shots of my manis from those collabs!

I never expected so many people to participate in either, and they were stressful, but tons of fun and I can't wait to host another huge collab!

IG Triplet Nail Collaborations - Peacocks, Flamingos, and Dragon Fruit [Part 3/4]

Today I have three of the triplet mani collabs I have done with @amylovesnewwave and @paintmainails on Instagram!

I was surprised at how much I actually liked my peacock nails even though he looks really angry! =P Mine were inspired by @xtori39. I did everything in acrylic paint.

IG Collab Manis - Bayou Blitz Owls, Care Bears, and Heart-Themed Mix & Match Nails [Part 2/4]

As promised, here are a few more collab manis I have done recently on Instagram with other nail girls!

First up, I did an owl mani with @caseylanelovespolish inspired by the print on a cup she has. The base for my owl nails is China Glaze Tree Hugger with one coat of Pretty & Polished Bayou Blitz. Casey said it perfectly when she said Bayou Blitz is like the lovechild of Lush Lacquer Clowning Around and Salon Perfect Zapped! It is such a cute polish!

IG Collab Manis - Creme and Holo Splatter, Watermelons, and Halloween Bat Tip Nails [Part 1/4]

I did a collab mani quite a while ago with @nailsandthings_ on Instagram. We decided on holo splatter, but with a twist.

We did a black creme background, splattered with Color Club Cloud Nine, Kismet, and Cosmic Fate, then over Color Club Beyond, splattered matching cremes!

Born Pretty Store Review - Pastel Round Studs

When I saw this video tutorial by Juliatmll, I fell in love with it and had to recreate the look! So I decided to make my version pastel, and use some pastel circular studs from Born Pretty Store that they sent me to review.

Born Pretty Store Review - Neon Round Studs

I have some studs to share with you from Born Pretty Store! The wheel of studs I got is $7.59 USD and holds 12 different colors of 2mm circular studs (6 neons and 6 pastels). According to Born Pretty Store's details about this wheel, there are approximately 400 studs total. You can also get them in individual bags of 200 for $2.99.

Since my previous studed heart design was such a big hit, I decided to do a similar look again with the neon studs over black, and I just love how it turned out!

Twinsie Tuesday - YouTube Tutorial

For today's theme, we have to do nails inspired by a YouTube tutorial.

I've been seeing the block reciprocal gradient-like, inverted stripey, taping mani look everywhere and I actually kind of liked it, so I decided to give it a go.

I watched this tutorial from Jaunty Juli for a little how-to.

Syringe Splatter Nails + Tutorial

If you follow me on Instagram, you may remember some splatter nails I did using a syringe about a month or so ago, because at the time, I couldn't find a straw and was looking for a good substitute.

Born Pretty Store Review - Glow-in-the-Dark Polish

Born Pretty Store calls this their Candy Colors Fluorescent Neon Luminous polish. It is a mini 7ml bottle that retails for $2.99 USD, and comes in 10 colors (mine is #11 [they aren't numbered 1-10, but randomly]). These polishes glow under black light and glow in the dark!

Gradient Plaid Nails

@gashin_nails on Instagram painted some really pretty plaid nails a while ago that I loved so much I wanted to recreate. So here is my not-so-awesome take on gradient & plaid nails.

Primary Water Marble

A while back, Peace Love & Polish had done a primary colored mani, which made me want to do one because I love the three primary colors together! I never had time to post that mani until now, so here it is!

For this water marble, I used Zoya Pippa, China Glaze Shower Together, and NYC Big Apple Red.

Lacquers Like Lace - Ah-Choo!

I decided since I didn't have any green jellies, that I'd mix my own. So for this, I used half a bottle of clear with a bit of Essie Incognito and a bit less of China Glaze Def Defying. It ended up reminding me of snot, so I had to do a drippy mani with it, and name it appropriately! ^.^

Twinsie Tuesday - Inspired by a Look in a Magazine

I really stretched this one today....

For this challenge, I Googled "magazine" and found this picture. I read ZERO magazines. In fact, I don't even know where or if I'd find one laying around my house anywhere.

Well, the picture I found looked like a magazine page, so I went with it. I used the yellow/orange/pink color palette and created a gradient.

Color Club Artsy Crafty - Black Light Flames

So I've had this gorgeous green in my "to swap/giveaway" drawer for quite a while. I had gotten it to include in a swap with someone, but then she backed out, so luckily this pretty baby got to join it's brothers and sisters on my Color Club shelf instead! ^.^

**CLOSED** KKCenterHk Review - Ebalay Sweet Pink Glitter Polish + GIVEAWAY

KKCenterHk sent me one of their polishes to show you, too!

This one is by Ebalay.

To show what it looks like over different colors, I swatched it over a pink (China Glaze Make an Entrance), black, white, and light green (Julep Courtney), and solo on my thumb.

Jelly Layering and Geometric Stamping

When I was trying to come up with an idea for some geometric nail art a while back, I went through my stamping plate book and pulled out a bunch of different designs. I layered some jelly polishes first: China Glaze Ride the Waves (blue), Zoya Coraline (orange), and Zoya Kate (pink).

Twinsie Tuesday - Transitional 2: Best Polish for the Transition from Summer to Fall - KBShimmer Quantum Leaf

I'm not usually too great at themes like this. I just wear whatever I want all year round, so I don't go by "only dark colors in the winter" and "neons can only be worn from June until September", or anything like that. So it was a little difficult for me to decide on a polish that was good for both summer and fall.

Kissing Koalas

If you follow me on Instagram and you're thinking these look familiar, you are correct! I've been a little behind on posting some of my nails! :/ These were also a guest post on Cordia's blog Seriously Swatched!
