Parrot Polish Haul - Live Swatches & Review
Every review I've seen of Parrot Polish has been nothing but positive: from product to customer service, and everything in between! So of course I wanted to jump on the bandwagon and check them out for myself!
I picked up five polishes: one holo with extra plain glitters in it, two thermals, and two glow-in-the-dark polishes that actually glow the same color as the polish instead of the usual green/yellow.

City Flourish Swirls and Chevrons
When a nail friend sent me a bunch of the China Glaze City Flourish polishes, I decided to play around with some of them; creating this chevron and drag marble mani using Strike a Rose (pink), Metro Pollen-tin (yellow), and What a Pansy (purple).

Born Pretty Store Review: Glow-in-the-Dark Water Decals
I started these nails off with Wet'n'Wild Black Creme, and added a coat of Salon Perfect Bang on top just because I thought it would have a somewhat Halloweenesque look. Then some glow-in-the-dark water decals from Born Pretty Store!

Twinsie Tuesday - YouTube Tutorial
For today's theme, we have to do nails inspired by a YouTube tutorial.
I've been seeing the block reciprocal gradient-like, inverted stripey, taping mani look everywhere and I actually kind of liked it, so I decided to give it a go.
I watched this tutorial from Jaunty Juli for a little how-to.

Twinsie Tuesday - Inspired by a Look in a Magazine
I really stretched this one today....
For this challenge, I Googled "magazine" and found this picture. I read ZERO magazines. In fact, I don't even know where or if I'd find one laying around my house anywhere.
Well, the picture I found looked like a magazine page, so I went with it. I used the yellow/orange/pink color palette and created a gradient.

She tried to hide it by the faded denim clothes she wore...
For Sexual Assault Awareness today, everyone is wearing teal and/or jeans at my school. So... I did denim nails. This was my first ever try at them, so I am fairly happy with how they turned out! ^.^
For this look, I only used one nail polish, and that was as my base color: Sally Hansen's Thinking of Blue.
I sponged, linearly, with dark and light blue acrylic paint to get the semi-cross stitch jean look. I did the dark blue (Apple Barrel's Bright Blue) horizontally, then light blue (Folk Art's Deep Ocean Blue) vertically. I think a more porous sponge would have helped achieve this effect, but I just used a soft makeup sponge.
For the stitching, I mixed yellow paint (Apple Barrel's Bright Yellow) with just a teeny tiny bit of red (Apple Barrel's Bright Red), and an even teenier bit of black (Apple Barrel's Black).
I then finished with, of course, a matte topcoat. e.l.f.'s Matte Finisher, to be exact, to both protect the acrylic paint, and because jeans are not shiny, silly!

Retro Rainbow
I can't recall where I originally saw this design. I didn't save anything on it because it was simple enough to remember it. I do know it was on YouTube, though; but there are a lot of variations of this look all over the place!
Anyway. For this look, I used 5 of the mini L.A. Colors from one of the High Impact collections in which all polishes were nameless. The white and black is done in acrylic paint.
I wanted to try out some of my new polishes, but then I didn't want to leave them plain (go figure, I can't ever leave a plain polish alone), so I went white this super simple design (I rarely see a "retro" design that I like, but for some reason I really love this one!):
