Zoya - Breezi

Breezi has been on my wishlist ever since I discovered the Zoya brand, and it finally came to live with me!

Nail Polish Comparison // Dupe Awareness - Limes: Wild Thing vs. Sexy Sundress vs. Grass Slipper

Not sure why, but I've been on a comparison kick lately...

Today I have Pure ICE Wild Thing and Finger Paints Sexy Sundress.

Pure ICE is more of a creme and Finger Paints is a bit thinner, but they are very close in color! Sexy Sundress is just a touch darker.

Polish Comparison // Dupe Awareness - Teal Green: 15 Minutes of Frame vs. Age of Aquarius vs. Edie

When  I first saw Finger Paints' 15 Minutes of Frame out at Sally's Beauty, I fell in love with it!

Well, it only makes since that I would love the color... Considering I already had it!

I'm okay with owning dupes, though. They aren't all exactly the same, usually.

I decided to compare this FP to two Color Clubs: Age of Aquarius and Edie.

All three have that smooth rubbery finish, and took 4 coats for opacity.

Finger Paints - 15 Minutes of Frame

I definitely love a beautiful teal! This one took 4 coats for opacity. Normally, I'm not one who prefers to go past 2, but in this case, I'm happy to make an exception! ^.^

Julep - Madison

I have this odd desire to own every nail polish with my name. I have Zoya's Amber, but that is it. I've also been getting polishes with Madison's name. Which is pretty much the only reason I wanted this one. I could care less what the color was, I just wanted it for the name. Plus I was able to get it basically free, which makes it even better! ^.^

It helps that it is a really beautiful color, too! It is almost like a bright, slightly corally, hot pink jelly, and was part of Julep's neon selection from January. I'd still like to get Amber from them, too, even though it is a metallic suede that I will never wear *hint* *hint* *wink* *wink*! =P

Nail Polish Comparison // Duplicate Awareness: NYC's Skyline Blue vs. Sinful Colors' Cinderella

I spotted Skyline Blue from NYC at CVS the other day, and it looked like it might be similar to the coveted Cinderella from Sinful Colors. So I picked up a bottle to do a comparison.

Skyline Blue is shown on my index and ring fingers, and Cinderella is on my middle finger and pinkie.

Free-Hand Fishtail Braid Nails in Blue and Nude

I haven't done a fishtail braid mani since my 4th of July one last year, so I figured it was about time for another. This one, however, I was impatient with, and freehanded everything instead of waiting between each stripe and taping them of for more precision. That just takes too long!

Kiss Nail Strips

I've tried the Sally Hansen nails strips, and some awful ones from eBay, but I've always wanted to try some other brands.

My hubby brought me home some from Kiss, so I had to test them!

Sinful Colors Let's Talk & Lush Lacquer Lite Brite

This had to be one of the hardest manis for me to photograph to date. I always seem to have a problem with that, but especially with this one! The base color (Sinful Colors' Let's Talk) likes to be a typical, difficult purple and comes off in pictures as more blue than it really is. Plus, Lite Brite is just hard to get good pictures of, period, though I am not sure why that is. Any time I try, it doesn't like to behave!

I think I took about 100 pictures of this manicure and only a couple turned out halfway decent. And calling them decent is even a stretch!

Color Club - Red-ical Gypsy

What is the deal?! What happened to me despising red nail polish!?

I suppose for that reason, I rarely buy any and figured I could add a few good ones to the collection?

I need them just in case? I need them for holiday manis? Santa can't go without a red suit in December? Red screams Valentine's Day?

Yea, okay, but I don't wear plain red, so why have I gone from 2 to 20 in less than a year?! Yeesh...

Color Club - Rebel Spirit

I am not a huge chocolate fan. Strange, I know. I've even been called un-American...

This chocolaty dream, though, I love! The bottle color is very misleading, but I love it even more on the nail!

At one coat, it takes on a streaky but yummy melted milk chocolate appearance, and becomes a gorgeous, deep, nearly black, dark chocolate in two.

Color Club - In Bloom

Thanks to Cynthia, I have been rapidly expanding the Color Club section of my polish hoard!

This one is a beautiful, girly, bubblegum pink color!

Born Pretty Store Acrylic Brush Set Review

At Born Pretty Storethese brushes are $7.00 and definitely worth it!

I love that they are basically their own little storage pod! So handy!

It makes for absolutely wonderful storage and brush protection!

Flocking Powder Mushtache Nails

Clearly I am a novice when it comes to painting mustaches, but, after my flocking powder heart tip design, Nicole had the brilliant idea to do flocking powder mustache nails!

Drag Marble Hearts Fail

My first attempt at a Valentine's Day mani didn't go so well... It's not the colors (China Glaze Def Defying and Nail Art by Diamond Cosmetics Urban Legend), I wanted to be nontraditional .. It is the drag marbling. I was attempted to make hearts... Eh.

I tried multiple times and just couldn't get them to come out right, so I gave up on it.

Maybelline NY Color Show Denims - Styled Out

I won this polish in a giveaway a little while back, and this was the first of the bunch I decided to try on. I instantly fell in love with this one-coat beauty! I was not even previously aware of a "Denims" line by Maybelline, but if the other, Denim Dash, is anything like this one, I want it, too!

Le Mētier de Beautē - Chrome Passion

Today, I have for you my #1 favorite from a Le Metier de Beaute mini set: Chrome Passion.

Le Mētier de Beautē - True Romance

Lately, I have had a lot of "normally I don't like"'s... Well, this is another. ^.^

Typically, I don't go for pearl finishes. I just don't like them, they're ugly.

Le Mētier de Beautē - Midnight Rendezvous

Like I said in my last post... I have no idea why I didn't swatch these sooner! This one is even more gorgeous than the first beauty!

Le Mētier de Beautē - Heat of the Night

This polish came in a mini set of four. I have never heard of nor seen the brand. I actually won these in a giveaway over a year ago. I arranged them into my drawers, and never touched them after that.

Born Pretty Store Pastel Nail Stones Review

My base for these nails is a sort of ombré look using the 4 Sinful Colors polishes Meredith sent me in our last swap!

From dark to light, they are:
Ardoise (pointer)
Smokin (middle finger)
Cool Gray (ring finger)
Mauve (SC needs to hiring a new naming department, because "Mauve" is anything but...)

These particular rhinestones come in a twelve-slot wheel and there are 6 different colors: iridescent white, purple, light pink, dark pink, mint green, and yellow.

They retail at Born Pretty Store for $2.50 USD and the wheel contains a total of 350 3mm stones. That's an awesome deal!

Super Mario Nails

I've wanted to do some Mario nails for quite a while and finally got around to it. I used Madam Luck's Mario nails for inspiration but changed them up a little.

I primarily used acrylic paints and a teeny dotting tool for these nails. The only polishes I used are:
Blue background - Orly's Blue Collar
The ground/tips - a mix of Orly's Prince Charmin and Coffee Break
Mario's face - Sinful Colors' Easy Going

Now be prepared to get spammed with about a dozen pictures! ^.^ I love these nails so much I took tons of pictures of them at different angles and couldn't decide which ones I liked the best!

Five Days of Crayolas: Day 2 - Bubble Gum Scented Nail Polish

This one is such a pretty, shimmery pink! Normally, I don't really love the artificial bubble gum smell, but this isn't too bad. It isn't super bubble gummy, but more candy-like, almost, and I just love the color!

Five Days of Crayolas: Day 1 - Blueberry Scented Nail Polish

I've had these polishes for quite a while, and when I first purchased them, I'd done quick, crappy swatches, and they haven't been touched since then. I decided they deserved to be in the spotlight again. :)
