The Digit-al Dozen does Recreations: Desert Nails - Day 3

I almost chickened out on doing this mani. I really stretched my limitations with this recreation, and very nearly bowed out of giving it a go because I knew my version wouldn't live up to the original. I actually just finished my nails about six hours before this post went live! Hahaha! Those trees gave me so much of a hard time, I finally just called it good and crashed!

I mostly used lots of blending and layers of black, brown, red, orange, and yellow (plus two shades of green for the disaster trees) acrylic paint, with a touch of Sinful Colors Pull Over, a dash of Pure ICE Show Stopper, and bit o' Sally Hansen Rapid Red.

In the end, I'm okay with how this turned out. I wish now I'd just done a continuation of the desert background on my ring finger - the background is my favorite part and I absolutely love how it looks on my index nail and pinky!

Don't forget to stop by and see what everyone else did for today too!
