Nails Dripping in Polish

I've been really excited to use this stamping plate because it has a bunch of different polish related images on it. What's better than having polish made from polish on your polished nails?!

I started out with a base of Zoya Taylor, and stamped the drips and bottle print on top with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri polishes in Rapid Red, Presto Pink, Orange Impulse, and Lickety-Split Lime; using plate BP-29.

I have to say that the dripping polish image was very finicky! I tried a lot of different polishes, scrapers, and stampers on it. From stamping polishes to thin regular polish, plastic and metal scrapers, and squishy and firm stampers. What ended up working was a metal scraper held at a 90 degree angle and pressed very lightly, and a firm, original Konad-style stamper.

Of course the "keep calm and polish on" image was begging to be used too, so I tried it out over Rapid Red. It was very difficult to pick up. I used BPS black stamping polish, but it was almost too thick to get into the tiny grooves of the words it seemed. The image was difficult to line up properly on my nail too, so I ended up using it in decal form: I left it on the stamper, applied topcoat over it on the stamper, then peeled that off once it dried and placed it over tacky polish on my nail. I added a matte topcoat so it would be easier to read the words.

Overall I like this plate. I definitely want to use the other bottle images on it, still!
