Twinsie Tuesday - Something Borrowed + Fuglies Need Love Too! - Swatch Series Pt. 1/5

I took today's Twinsie Tuesday theme literal, I have a polish borrowed from Heather! This is two easy coats of China Glaze There's Snow One Like You.

When this polish came out, I read nothing but horrific reviews of it that kind of scared me to try it a little.

The reviews I read made this polish sound like a white hell in a bottle. So many people were saying it was too thick to apply, the formula was nasty, you could barely even get two coats on because it was so hard to work with; They said it looked like cottage cheese vomit on the nail, and was just pretty much the worst polish ever created.

I must disagree, though.

This polish was insanely easy to work with. The formula was nice and fairly smooth (well, ya know, for a texture). It dried pretty fast, none of the glitters fell off the nail or anything, it wasn't super thick, and it looks like sugary snow on the nail. Sure it isn't an ideally slick, baby doll finish, but it isn't supposed to be.

I love it. I don't care what other people may think about this polish.

I, however, do have a thing for the fuglies. So it makes since that I would love such a polish.

Hello, my name is Amber and I am addicted to ugly polish. It's true. I realized this one day while talking to Heather.... I have so many polishes that look like liquid poo. She said this, being another "so ugly that it's pretty" sort of polish, so appropriately belonged in my collection among my other fuglies. And so this pretty baby came to live on my China Glaze shelf right next door to White On White, and neighboring Concrete Catwalk.

Today is also going to kick off a five-part swatch series here that I am calling "The Fuglies Need Love Too". I will be swatching just over a dozen polishes I have that aren't typically considered to be "beautiful". Other than There's Snow One Like You, the remaining polishes for this series will be shown over the next four days, and they are all "poo polishes" as I so compassionately call them. ^.^

I look forward to showing you my uglies! ;) Hope you're just as interested in seeing them!

Until then, let's see what all the other Twinsies did for today's post!
