Salon Effects Ruffian

If you're like me, you easily get bored with the same ole, same ole. I wanted to wear a set of the Sally Hansen Salon Effects in Tweed-le Dee, but wanted to do something different with them. So I got into my untrieds box and randomly pulled out Milani Beach Front to wear along with them.

It is no secret that I love Ruffian manis, so that's what I went with!

Beach Front really surprised me. I expected these to be a thick mess, but it was really opaque for such a light color! I could have gotten away with only doing one coat over the strips on my middle two nails, but you could see a small fold I'd accidentally left in the strip through the first coat, so I needed a second just to hide that (which it did a marvelous job of doing)!

I thought about adding some little flowers in the blue area on my middle two nails, but I'm trying to restrain myself and tell myself that sometimes less really is more! It would just add a little extra color instead of leaving that area so blank. But do I really need to fill that space? No, I don't. I just have issues with not being able to leave well enough alone! =P

What do you think of the way I've used the Salon Effects strips in this mani? I'm trying to think of even more "unusual" ways to use the strips. They're pretty fun to play with!
