Graduation Griffon Nails

I'm officially a college graduate as of yesterday! I thought I'd never see the day but it finally came and I am so glad to be done with school! I just can't wait to pay back thousands of dollars in student loans! =P

Want to see the nails I did for my graduation?

The school's colors are black and gold, so obviously I had to include them. I'd also bought my baby girl a onsie to wear to the ceremony that has a grey and golden yellow striped griffon (the school's mascot) on it, which is what inspired the griffon I painted on my middle finger.

The griffon is done with China Glaze Recycle, the grey, and a nameless L.A. Colors, on a one-coat background of Revlon Calla Lily.

My other nails are two coats of China Glaze Blonde Bombshell over one coat of Mega Bite.

Sadly, I used Qtica Extending Topcoat from Zoya and it bubbled like crazy over my adorable little griff even though I made sure it was dry before applying the topcoat, and used a very thin layer! :(

He was still pretty cute, though. I didn't think I was going to be able to pull off doing a griffon. I was fully convinced it would come out looking unrecognizably terrible! I am pretty happy with the final mani, though, and got lots of compliments on it!

The onsie this look was inspired by:

Happy Mother's Day to all my wonderful fellow mommy nail artists out there! It's hard to do both jobs full-time, but both are a blast!

My munchkin and hubby got my a charm bracelet for Mother's Day that she'll get to pick out a new charm for each year and I love it!

Come back tomorrow to see one of my favorite of the Blackheart Beauty stacked polishes! :)
