Glitter in the Orange Juice

Everyone has recently been pulling out the oldies but goodies from China Glaze's 2010 summer Poolside Collection, so I figured I'd join in on the fun that is blindingly bright, neon happiness.

Initially, I put one layer of Sun Worshiper over Sally Hansen Whirlwind White:

Then I thought to myself: self, neons don't need help in the drama department, but still, how can we jazz up this orange little goddess? Well, it just do happened that my bottle of Claire's Bedazzled was sitting there staring at me, begging for attention; begging me to do a mani that I'm not the biggest fan of.

That's right, Bedazzled was pleading to be placed between two layers of Sun Worshiper. So I reluctantly obliged.

Since I already decided this wasn't going to be a lasting mani, I thought what else can I do to intensify this disaster? Well... What do I dislike more than glitter sandwiches?!

Yup! A perfect crisis to slather a coat of crackle onto!

So basically I ended up with a Halloween mani from hell.

I wasn't originally going to photograph this since it didn't come out, but once I got all my nails but my pinkie cleaned off, I decided to.

I figured, no big deal. I never use crackle, don't absolutely love, and it's like a year old, so maybe it's just screwy and won't crack right anymore.

Oh no. I had a couple of old swatches on a testing/practice/paper plate, so I put some crackle down on top of them...

Perfect! Wtf. Whateva!! Stupid crackle. Just another reason to shove you into a drawer and never let you see the light of day again. =)
