Born Pretty Store Water-Based Polish Review

The beautiful blue polish I have to share with you today is a Peach "eco-friendly water-based" polish from Born Pretty Store.

The one I have is #29, a dark blue.

So what are the pros of this polish?

Since this polish is water-based, it doesn't have the horrendous smell that normal lacquers do, also making it safer for children. The color is gorgeous. It was opaque in just one coat! Plus, it dries crazy fast!

And OMG do you see that bottle!? I love it!!

There are 15 different colors, and a few different types of faces on the caps, which you can either see here, or just wait until the end of this post and I'll add a screenshot of their website!

On the other hand, this polish does something strange when it dries. It stretches, or shrinks, or something, and gets what Nicole so appropriately calls "polish stretch marks"!

Yikes! Topcoat will fix this, though, and you can barely tell they were there unless you know they were there. The shimmeriness of the polish helps to hide them once topcoat is applied.

As is typical with water-based polish, this is a pain and a half to remove! It is immune to acetone! The water-based polish "remover" is essentially just rubbing alcohol, but even that barely works better. Water-based polishes are like tar! I just use the foil method to remove them. It will soak through the polish and make it all rubbery, then it peels off the nail in a few pieces.

One other fact about this polish; I don't know if it is a pro or a con. It depends on your ideal polish price range, I suppose.

This polish $3.59 USD, but the bottle is only 8ml, so it is approximately the size of a mini. Personally, I have a hard time spending more than $4 on a full-sized bottle of polish, so...

Of course those polishes aren't this cute either, though!

I just want one of each, they're so adorable!

If you decide to pick any of these up, I'd love to know what you think of them!

Of course, the $3.59 is all you would pay for one of these polishes. Born Pretty Store offers free worldwide shipping. Plus, if you use my coupon code ANL91, you'll receive an extra 10% off your entire purchase!
