Spider Tips

Happy Halloween (if you celebrate it)!

Today's mani started off as one I hated!

I originally attempted to use this design by Peace Love & Polish and make my own version because I loved her's so much!

Twinsie Tuesday - Space Inspired

Weeeeeeell I've been so distracted with family emergencies lately that I completely forgot it was Tuesday!

So instead of having spacey nails today, I was inspired by the universe and one element of the universe specifically - fire.

I Vant to Bite Your Neck!

I did another nail collab on Instagram with @amylovesnewwave and @paintmainails. This time we did vampires!

Halloween Ruffian

The ultimate, most traditional Halloween colors are black and orange, right? I love Ruffian manis, do I not? Textured polishes are one of my favorite nail trends, no? Especially the Pixie Dusts, yes?

Well I realized that I just so happened to have a black Pixie Dust (Dahlia) and an orange Pixie Dust (Dhara). So of course I had to ruffian them for the holiday!!

Swatchesque: ChG Bump in the Night & Glitter Accent

I found China Glaze polishes on sale, so I picked up my three favorite from the Monsters Ball collection! Instead of doing a plain, typical swatch of them, I decided to try them, and a new Zoya out, all in one mani.

Studded Hearts & 3D Bows on Blue, Silver, and Nude

When I got Rimmel London Blue Eyed Girl, I wanted to pair it with something, but had no real plan for this mani. I threw on Caramel Cupcake and Julep Missy (silver) to accent it, but decided the mani still needed something more.

China Glaze - Running in Circles

Just a quick filler post for today! I have an older swatch I did of China Glaze Running in Circles from the Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away collection.

Twinsie Tuesday - Weather Inspired

I've always wanted to try lighting bolt nails, so when a Twinsie Tuesday came around with a weather theme, I figured it was the perfect opportunity!

Halloween Skittles

I haven't done very many Halloween manis this month. It just doesn't seem like it should already be time for Halloween to be here!

I am definitely going to miss the warm weather. I hate snow! Well, not so much the snow. It is gorgeous when it first falls. I am just not a fan of the ice and freezing temperatures!

Anyway, I couldn't decide on just one design. I didn't want to paint all pumpkins on every nail. I wanted each one to be different. So this is what I ended up with:

Born Pretty Store Review: Studs

I have one more product from Born Pretty Store to share with you today. This time it is a nail wheel full of silver and gold 2mm studs in circles and squares. I love the size of these studs. They are a perfect size for nail art and run $6.99 USD for about 350 studs.

For my first mani using these studs, I have a base of OPI Alcatraz Rocks that the wonderful Jolรจne (gashin_nails) sent me!

Born Pretty Store Review: Glow-in-the-Dark Water Decals

I started these nails off with Wet'n'Wild Black Creme, and added a coat of Salon Perfect Bang on top just because I thought it would have a somewhat Halloweenesque look. Then some glow-in-the-dark water decals from Born Pretty Store!

Pink Week: Day 6

Fact Source
For today's Pink Week nails, I just added to my Inococo nail strips mani.

Born Pretty Store Review: Music Notes/Piano Keys Water Decals

Today I have another set of water decals from Born Pretty Store to share with you! These decals are really cute, they're music-themed!

Pink Week: Day 2

Fact Source

I have another breast cancer fact and pink manicure for you today!

For Day 2 of Pink Week, I was inspired by one of my daughter's dresses. It is white with a rainbow of polka dots that change color down the dress. I wanted to do a quick and easy polka dot mani anyway, so it was perfect!

Pink Week: Day 1

Fact Source

With someone very close to my fellow Twinsie Amanda being affected by such a horrendous disease, she wanted to do a week full of pink manis and include a breast cancer fact in each post. So from now until Saturday, I'll be participating in what we are calling Pink Week, and supporting breast cancer awareness.

For the first day of Pink Week, I created a cleavage mani using Color Club overboard, added a pearl necklace with Zoya Jacqueline, and flowers with Jacqueline and Flynn.

Rimmel London - Rage All The Sage & China Glaze - Flock Together

After swatching Sage All The Rage by Rimmel London, I wanted to try out one of the newer China Glaze string glitter topper polishes that I got from Meredith! And I must say, I just love these paired together!

Friday, October 11, 2013

Matte Roses - Rimmel London Red, Steady, Go! & Sinful Colors Savage

For this mani, I used Sinful Colors Savage, which is a matte, on my pinky and index nails. The red on my other nails is Rimmel London Red, Steady Go, matted with China Glaze Matte Magic.

Twinsie Tuesday - Cutesy and Girly Nails

This week's theme is, obviously, a cute and girly manicure. When I think "girly", I think of rhinestones, glitter, and bows in pink or purple. Since pink is probably the most "girly" color there is, I went with my second option: purple, in an attempt to be a little different.

Zombie Nails + IG Collab

I did another nail collaboration on Instagram with @amylovesnewwave and @paintmainails. This time, we did zombies!

Zoya Stevie & Zoya Trixie - Swatchesque

In my most recent Zoya order, I picked up Pixie Dust Stevie, and Trixie, a gorgeous, metallic silver.

I didn't want to do a full, boring swatch, though, so I just did Stevie on three nails, and wore Trixie as an accent.

Here are both at one coat (almost opaque!):

KKCenterHk Review & Demo - Rubber Stamper A19

You may or may not have seen the new all-in-one stamping systems yet, but I have one to show you today!

These are plastic discs with a rubber piece in them, and the images are carved into the rubber; eliminating the need for a scraper.

Here is a Fall-themed mani I created with KKCenterHk's Autumn stamper A19:

KKCenterHk Review - Ebalay Warm Orange Glitter Polish

I have another Ebalay polish from KKCenterHk to share with you today! I showed you their Sweet Pink polish last month.

Today, I have their "Warm Orange" polish from the same line. This one also retails for $7.82 USD.

Jelly Fish Nails - Acrylic Paint Bubble Technique

I wanted to try out the bubble technique, but once I got them done, they looked like jelly fish without tentacles. So I took a little side road and ended up with this mani!

Twinsie Tuesday - What’s Your Sign?

.

For today's theme, we had to create manis based on our astrological signs. I am an October baby, so I started by attempting an opalesque (my birthstone) background. I sponged Essie Lapis of Luxury, Julep Nikki, Zoya Elodie, and China Glaze Dance Baby on my nails, then added a coat of Julep Melissa and Finger Paints Twisted.
